Tuncurry

The 2024 population forecast for Tuncurry is 6,455, and is forecast to grow to 7,046 by 2036.

Tuncurry is bounded by The Lakes Way and the locality of Darawank in the north, the Tasman Sea in the east, Wallis Lake in the south, and the extent of the urban area in the west. Tuncurry is named from an Aboriginal word meaning "plenty of fish". It was previously known as North Shore and North Forster.
