Key findings

In 2016, the dominant household type in City of Monash was Couple families with dependents, which accounted for 36.4% of all households.

The largest increase between 2016 and 2031 is forecast to be in Couple families with dependents, which will increase by 3,951 households and account for 35.5% of all households.

In contrast Other families is forecast to increase by 366 households, to comprise 3.8% of all households in 2031, compared to 3.9% in 2016.
