The ACT peri-urban area is bounded by the locality of Murrumbateman, the Barton Highway, the localities of Nanima and Gundaroo and the Yass River in the north, the locality of Gundaroo and the Federal Highway in the east, the Australian Capital Territory and Tinkers Creek in the south, and the locality of Uriarra, Mountain Creek, the localities of Wee Jasper and Narrangullen, the Murrumbidgee River and Dam Creek in the west.
