Key findings

In 2024, the dominant household type in Wellington Shire was Couples without dependents, which accounted for 32.0% of all households.

The largest increase between 2024 and 2029 is forecast to be in Lone person households, which will increase by 375 households and account for 30.4% of all households.

In contrast Other families is forecast to increase by 14 households, to comprise 1.7% of all households in 2029, compared to 1.7% in 2024.
