Arncliffe Area is bounded by Denison Street, Hirst Street, Arncliffe Street, Burrows Street, the Princes Highway, a line running between Flora Street and Innesdale Road and Marsh Street in the north, the Cooks River in the east, Muddy Creek, Spring Street, Godfrey Street, Gardiner Park and Carlton Street in the south, and Sackville Street, Wolli Creek Road, a line running between Lorraine Avenue and Fairview Street, Hirst Street and Dowling Street in the west. There is a small non-contiguous section in the north, bounded by Martin Avenue, Booth Street (part), Bonar Street and Arncliffe Street.
