Key findings

There were 1,474 people estimated to be living in non-private dwellings in Yarra Ranges Council in 2021. The number of persons in non-private dwellings in Yarra Ranges Council is expected to increase to 1,965 persons in 2031 and remain the same at 1,965 persons in 2046.

Between 2021 and 2031, Chirnside Park is forecast to experience the greatest change, with a gain of 244 persons in non-private dwellings. This is due to an increase of persons in non-private dwellings aged 75 years and over, which is predominantly aged care.
