About the forecast areas

The 2020 population forecast for Rural South & East is 3,561, and is forecast to grow to 3,578 by 2041.

Rural South & East is made up of two non-contiguous rural areas. The southern area is bounded in the north by the locailities of Woori Yallock, Launching Place, Yarra Junction, Wesburn, Warburton and East Warburtom, in the east by Big Crk Rd, in the south by Cardinia Shire and in the west by Worri Yallock and Menzies Crks. The eastern area is bounded in the north by Murrindindi Shire, in the east and south by Mansfield and Baw Baw Shires and in the west by the locality of East Warburton.
