Key findings

In 2016, the dominant household type in the City of Whitehorse was Couple families with dependents, which accounted for 34.8% of all households.

The largest increase between 2016 and 2027 is forecast to be in Lone person households, which will increase by 3,748 households and account for 24.8% of all households.

In contrast Other families is forecast to increase by 452 households, to comprise 3.2% of all households in 2027, compared to 3.1% in 2016.
