In 2021, the dominant household type in Chinatown - CBD South was 'Couples without dependents', and by 2031 the largest forecast increase is expected in 'Lone person households'.

Key findings

In 2021, the dominant household type in Chinatown - CBD South was Couples without dependents, which accounted for 33.1% of all households.

The largest increase between 2021 and 2031 is forecast to be in Lone person households, which will increase by 858 households and account for 30.5% of all households.

In contrast Other families is forecast to increase by 111 households, to comprise 4.3% of all households in 2031, compared to 4.4% in 2021.
