The Chinatown & CBD South small area is bounded by the shore of Darling Harbour and Cockle Bay, Harbour Street, Bathurst Street, Elizabeth Street and Liverpool Street in the north, Wentworth Avenue, Elizabeth Street and Chalmers Street in the east, the Central Station pedestrian subway, Lee Street and George Street in the south and the former Darling Harbour goods railway, the Metro Light Rail line and Murray Street in the west. This small area includes the suburb of Haymarket and part of the locality of Sydney.
