Population and age structure

Between 2016 and 2026, the age structure forecasts for City of Port Phillip indicate a 15.1% increase in females under working age, a 49.6% increase in females of retirement age, and a 21.0% increase in females of working age.

Key findings

In 2016, the dominant age structure for females in City of Port Phillip was ages 25 to 29, which accounted for 13.5% of the total females.

The largest increase in females between 2016 and 2026 is forecast to be in ages 20 to 24, which is expected to increase by 1,709 and account for 8.5% of the total females.
