Rural North East includes the localities of Hilldene, Northwood, Puckapunyal, Tallarook, Trawool and Whiteheads Creek, and the Mitchell Shire parts of Avenel, Highlands, Mangalore and Tarcombe. Rural North East excludes the locality of Seymour.
