Key findings

In 2021, the dominant household type in Melton was Lone person households, which accounted for 33.1% of all households.

The largest increase between 2021 and 2036 is forecast to be in Couple families with dependents, which will increase by 271 households and account for 24.8% of all households.

In contrast Group households is forecast to increase by 33 households, to comprise 3.0% of all households in 2036, compared to 2.8% in 2021.
