Population and age structure

Between 2021 and 2026, the age structure forecasts for Western area - Greendale, Luddenham (part), Silverdale (part) and Wallacia (part) indicate a 7.0% decrease in males under working age, a 2.8% increase in males of retirement age, and a 6.0% decrease in males of working age.

Key findings

In 2021, the dominant age structure for males in Western area - Greendale, Luddenham (part), Silverdale (part) and Wallacia (part) was ages 15 to 19, which accounted for 8.4% of the total males.

The largest increase in males between 2021 and 2026 is forecast to be in ages 80 to 84, which is expected to increase by 22 and account for 2.9% of the total males.

The largest male 5 year age group in 2026 is 15 to 19 years, with a total of 271 males.
