South East is a predominantly rural area located in the south-eastern part of the Shire. The small area surrounds Bannockburn and includes the small township of Sutherlands Creek and the rural localities of Batesford (part), Gheringhap, Murgheboluc, Russells Bridge and Stonehaven.
