Key findings

There were 7,319 people estimated to be living in non-private dwellings in the City of Greater Geelong in 2021. The number of persons in non-private dwellings in the City of Greater Geelong is expected to increase to 7,703 persons in 2026 and to 8,566 persons in 2041.

Between 2021 and 2026, Lara is forecast to experience the greatest change, with a gain of 315 persons in non-private dwellings. This is due to an increase of persons in non-private dwellings aged 75 years and over, which is predominantly aged care.
