Some areas, usually with separate housing stock, are dominated by families. Others, with more dense housing in inner city locations have significant numbers of lone person households and couples without dependents.

Key findings

In 2021, the dominant household type in Wyong was Lone person households, which accounted for 35.4% of all households.

The largest increase between 2021 and 2026 is forecast to be in Lone person households, which will increase by 117 households and account for 37.7% of all households.

In contrast Couples without dependents is forecast to decrease by 8 households, to comprise 21.9% of all households in 2026, compared to 24.3% in 2021.
