Residential development forecasts assume the number of dwellings in Trafalgar - Trafalgar East will increase by an average of 35 dwellings per annum to 2,736 in 2041.

The addition of dwellings to the housing stock is a major driver of population growth in an area, providing opportunities for households to relocate from other areas or new households to form locally (such as young people leaving the family home or separations/divorces).

Residential development can take various forms depending on the availability of land.   • Average growth of 35 dwellings per annum from 2017-2041
  • Development driven by Nelson’s Rise (92 dwellings) and Strzelecki Views Estate (75 dwellings) in the short to medium term. Medium to longer term development driven by Trafalgar North PSP (121 dwellings), School Road Future GRZ (275 dwellings) and Princes Highway (229 dwellings)
  • Low level of infill (2 dwellings per annum) assumed
