Banyule City Council is an established municipality in Melbourne's north eastern suburbs, encompassing a total land area of 63 square kilometres. It is bounded by Nillumbik Shire in the north and north east, Manningham City in the south east, the Cities of Boroondara and Yarra in the south, Darebin City in the west and the City of Whittlesea in the north west. The Yarra River also forms the southern and south eastern boundary.
