Strathalbyn District is a large rural area which surrounds the town of the same name. It encompasses several localities, including Clayton Bay, Milang, Finniss and Tooperang. It is bounded in the north by the District Council of Mount Barker, and in the east by the Rural City of Murray Bridge.
