Key findings

In 2021, the dominant household type in Tweed Shire Council was Couples without dependents, which accounted for 29.4% of all households.

The largest increase between 2021 and 2031 is forecast to be in Lone person households, which will increase by 1,502 households and account for 28.8% of all households.

In contrast Group households is forecast to increase by 100 households, to comprise 3.5% of all households in 2031, compared to 3.7% in 2021.
