The City of Sydney is the capital of New South Wales and covers approximately 26 square kilometres. The City comprises the central business district and includes a number of Sydney's most historic suburbs. The City is bounded by Port Jackson in the north, Woollahra Municipality and Randwick City in the east, the City of Botany Bay in the south and the Marrickville and Leichhardt Council areas in the west.
