Hamilton West is bounded in the north by the Wannon River, a line that runs north-south east of Nigretta Road and a line that runs east-west north of Partridges Road; in the east by the Henty Highway, Coleraine Road, Pope Street, Lonsdale Street and the Ararat Hamilton Railway line; in the south by the Portland Hamilton Railway line and a line that runs north-south east of the Henty Highway; and in the west by the Henty Highway, Ellis Road, a line that runs north-south east of Church Road, Jacksons Road, the Grange Burn and Russells Road.
