Hamilton East is bounded in the north by the Portland Hamilton Railway line; in the east by Caldows Road and Forans Road; in the south by a line that runs north-south that runs parallel west of Yatchaw Road, Rissman Road, Mount Napier Road, Elsoms Road, Murroa Lane, a line that runs north-south east of Madins Road and Beesons Road; and in the west by the Portland Hamilton Railway line.
