Southern Grampians Shire is bounded by West Wimmera Shire, Horsham Shire and Northern Grampians Shire in the north, Ararat Rural City in the east, Moyne Shire in the south and Glenelg Shire in the west. Major centres include Coleraine and Hamilton.
