The map and table show the proportion of 55-74 year olds in all small areas of Moyne Shire and the forecast change in the number between 2001 and 2016. In 2001, the most significant concentration of the population aged 55-74 was in Port Fairy & District and Mortlake & District while Rural East and Koroit & District featured lower shares of persons in this age group.
Increases are expected in all areas to 2016 as a result of ageing (and in Port Fairy to a lesser extent in-migration of these ages). The most significant increase is expected in Koroit & District followed by Port Fairy & District while lower increases are expected in Rural East.
